A resource for the Cancer Grand Challenges community
Welcome to SPACE: Spatial Profiling and Annotation Centre of Excellence
Our Mission
The Spatial Profiling and Annotation Centre of Excellence (SPACE) is a collaboration-focused laboratory created by the team behind the IMAXT Cancer Grand Challenge project. Its mission is to multiply the impact of spatial omics technologies on cancer research by democratising access, allowing scale-up of measurements to hundreds of samples, and staying at the cutting edge of technology development.
The centre operates as a hybrid core facility and research laboratory. Our aim is to collaborate with projects across their entire lifespan, offering our know-how to assist with defining aims, matching the right technology to each biological question and optimising it if required, defining sample sets, generating data, and analysing results. In addition to sample processing and data generation, we offer a world-class data centre optimized for spatial omics, enabling cloud-based storage and analysis. SPACE is open to all Cancer Grand Challenge projects and beyond.
